Role Overview As the Assistant Manager, you are a proactive, self-starting individual who continually seeks to enhance the Farrell’s member experience both on and off the studio floor. With a keen awareness of your surroundings, you anticipate needs and take action. Your friendly, welcoming demeanor and outgoing personality positively represent the brand in all your interactions. You thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and are prepared to handle everything from planning and executing events to driving new memberships through sales activities.
Requirements: - Proactive, takes initiative
- Strong proficiency in social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, etc.) and Microsoft suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)
- Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail
- Ability to manage office duties while engaging with members
- Strong sales and marketing skills, ideally prior sales and/or fitness studio experience preferred
- Ability to multi-task and excel in a fast-paced environment
- Creative problem-solving skills
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Display enthusiasm, positive energy, and passion for health & fitness
- Ability to easily connect and build rapport with staff, members and prospects
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Work well both independently and with a team
- Flexible to work afternoon/evening and/or weekend hours based on studio needs
- Thrive in a goal-oriented role; be performance driven
- High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) required
Job Duties: - Foster Farrell's Community, Culture, and Values.
- Create a positive and inclusive environment, fostering a sense of community.
- Champion hospitality standards, ensuring exceptional service to members, prospective members and staff.
- Lead by example upholding high standards and core values.
Leading daily shift operations & ensure proper execution and consistency of all front desk systems and procedures: - Ensure timely opening and closing of the studio.
- Set up the studio equipment for daily workouts.
- Greet members and guests promptly and make them feel welcome.
- Check members into the system.
- Handle all telephone and email correspondence.
- Process accurate cash and credit card transactions.
- Managing member and staff concerns throughout the shift.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and well-stocked facility.
- Thoroughly follow daily cleaning process.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records for shift reports and sales process.
Sales/Marketing: - Promote studio retail products and merchandise.
- Meet or exceed Studio targets for revenue, net new members, lead generation and retention.
- Become an expert with the studio’s sales process.
- Promptly respond to inquiries and book studio appointments.
- Successfully convert prospects into new members.
- Assist Studio Owner or Manager in planning and executing lead generation activities and staffing promotional events.
- Support studio marketing efforts (daily social posts, business to business relationships, flyer distribution, etc.)
Schedule
We’re especially looking for someone available during these times:
- Early mornings: 4:30am – 11:00am (2-3)
- Evenings: 3 :00pm – 8:00pm (2-3)
- Some Saturdays: 6:30am – 12:30pm
- This is a hands-on position (approx. 10-20 hours/week to start) with the potential to grow into more hours and/or a full-time role.
Compensation and Benefits - Hourly wage plus commission and bonus incentives (no cap)
