Job Title: CFD/Aftermarket Engineer

Location: Columbus, IN

Job Description:

• The role involves working primarily on diesel exhaust after treatment systems, which include multiple components such as DOC, DPF, SCR, and NASD. 1
• Responsibilities include validating each component using engine test data or synthetic guest bench data, calibrating models, and creating full system models. 2
• The job requires extensive use of MATLAB Simulink for preprocessing, processing, automation, and system simulation, including the development of S function and FMU models. 3
• The role also involves working on ECM or ECU for model validation and calibration development. 4
• Additional tasks include hardware-in-loop or software-in-loop applications to test the robustness of software controls before field tests. 5
• The primary simulation tool used is ABL Cruise M, with preprocessing and post-processing automation done in MATLAB Simulink.
• Catalyst Modelling: Rajat Kosh described his work on handling catalyst models supplied internally and from catalyst suppliers. He tests and evaluates model performance and develops simple analytical tools using MATLAB for wider Cummins user base. 3
