The Clinical Social Worker I/II position is within the Infant-Parent Program (IPP), a program within the Division of Infant, Child, and Adolescent Psychiatry. The Infant-Parent Program is a multifaceted infant and early childhood mental health program offering early childhood mental health consultation; infant-parent psychotherapy; perinatal mental health services; therapeutic play groups, therapeutic shadowing, and intensive training. The Program serves approximately 3000 children ages birth through 5 and their caregivers. Annually about 100 of these children and their families are seen in intensive therapy and the rest benefit from consultation to their caregivers in early care and education centers, domestic violence and homeless shelters, family resource centers and residential substance abuse treatment centers.
This position exists to primarily provide infant and early childhood mental health consultation and occasional direct service in a range of venues many of which serve families experiencing multiple stressors, many of whom speak English as a second language. The position is designed to meet the mental health needs of children up to six years of age and their caregivers in community based agencies. The purpose of this effort is to support and enhance those agencies' capacity to care for young children and to address the mental health needs of the clients that they serve. Under supervision, the person in this position will provide relationship-focused, on-going mental health consultation, affiliated services, and training to agency leadership, staff and families. This position will also engage in documentation and evaluation efforts related to these services. This position may also include additional services provided within the Infant-Parent Program, including infant-parent psychotherapy, clinical supervision, and involvement in IPP's training program. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $37.56 - $50.31 (Hourly Rate).
