Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Underwriting Excellence: Evaluate and underwrite submissions with accuracy and efficiency, staying within established guidelines and delegated authority.
  • Customer Service: Respond to quotes, re-quotes, and endorsements with a customer-first mindset, delivering exceptional service at every touchpoint.
  • Relationship Management: Build and nurture strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and driving long-term business growth.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams across Underwriting, Business Development, Claims, IT, and other departments to support seamless operations.
  • Market Insight: Contribute to innovation by researching industry trends, analyzing competitive intelligence, and supporting product development initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Experience:
  • 3+ years of underwriting experience in Commercial Property & Casualty, Personal, or Management & Professional Liability lines.
  • Insurance coursework (e.g., CPCU, RPLU) is a plus.
  • OR 5+ years of experience in related fields such as:
    • Insurance (claims, sales, agency/brokerage)
    • Financial services (banking, mortgage, consulting)
    • Legal (attorney, paralegal)
  • Travel: Willingness to travel as needed for roles that involve direct customer interaction.
