Design Manager Job in Washington, DC

New requirement for a Design Manager job with a workplace interior design studio, working from their office Washington, DC. The role will see you join a leading A+D firm that are often recognised for their projects in the workplace and corporate interiors sector. The ideal candidate will have an interior design background and enjoy being a part of a well-structured and highly collaborative firm. Offering up to $150,000 plus extensive benefits and stock options.

With over 800 employees, they specialise in sectors such as transport, commercial, education, healthcare, and commercial interiors. The firm consistently ranks among the top design firms worldwide. Known for combining technical expertise with a research-driven approach, they've completed projects in more than 20 countries and have built a reputation for innovation in both design and delivery.

Role & Responsibilities

• Oversee the design process across all phases and ensure accuracy of client objectives
• Assist with client relations and business development
• Manage the design process and utilize internal resources and methodologies
• Oversee and manage the design materials, concepts, schedules and budgets
• Stay up to date with industry trends, new technologies, and regulations
• Support with team mentoring and management alongside the studio director.

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of industry experience, including significant experience with workplace projects
• CIDA accredited interior design degree and registered interior designer
• Prior experience with business development and client presentations
• Experience with Revit, Adobe Suite, SketchUp, and Ms Office.
