Position Overview: Taymar Sales U.’s Director of Annual Giving for Austin Peay State University Athletics is a full-time position which is responsible for the oversight of the Annual Fund while engaging with existing and prospective APSU Athletics donors and ticket holders. The Director of Annual Giving should be a results-oriented relationship builder who possesses a positive attitude and willingness to learn. This position will work with the General Manager of Revenue Generation to build a holistic strategy to grow the Annual Fund through ticket sales and fundraising while developing this strategy across multiple sports.

Responsibilities :
  • Develop comprehensive Annual Fund strategy with focuses around season ticket sales, parking, and fundraising.
  • Cultivate, coordinate, and solicit Athletic Annual Fund donations through outbound calls and face to face meetings with current and prospective APSU Athletic Annual Fund donors.
  • Manage a portfolio of Athletic Annual Fund donors and deliver top notch customer service and dependability. 
  • Possess a deep understanding of the university, athletics department and donor benefits and opportunities.
  • Meet and exceed monthly and annual goals by identifying prospective donors from any source and providing a favorable environment for donors to start, maintain and/or increase contributions to the Annual Athletic Fund. 
  • Manage and build meaningful relationships to connect prospects and donors to APSU Athletics. 
  • Serve as primary point of contact for donors to Athletics Department.
  • Represent APSU Athletics and Taymar Sales U. with professionalism, dependability, and attention to detail, while being a creative problem solver.
  • Develop premium hospitality engagement strategy for all home sporting events.
  • Build superior internal relationships with the APSU Athletics Department. 
Qualifications:
  • Experience in sports tickets sales or athletics ticket fundraising required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree with concentration in Sports Marketing or a related field.
  • Comfort with making outbound phone calls in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Able to identify, understand, and mitigate any issue(s) found to the satisfaction of all stakeholders.
  • Proven history in building long term, meaningful relationships with clients and prospects.
  • Experience and proven success in a fundraising or ticket sales role.
  • Strong drive to learn the sales process and grow your career rapidly.
  • Strong work ethic, positive attitude, integrity, communication skills, and desire & ability to learn in a fast paced, highly competitive industry.
