Eurythmy Teacher 

The Austin Waldorf School is seeking a warm and enthusiastic eurythmy teacher to join our faculty. We are looking for an experienced, certified educator with a proven ability to teach multiple grade levels and a desire to contribute to our vibrant Waldorf community. Eurythmy is a central element of our curriculum, and our dedicated eurythmy spaces—including a specialized classroom, recital hall, and theater—enable rich artistic exploration. The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

AWS has an outstanding faculty who fosters a spirit of collaboration and innovation and are deeply committed to Waldorf pedagogy and anthroposophy. Our program includes eurythmy, music, choir, strings & orchestra, handwork, arts, woodwork, as well as Spanish and German. Subject teachers joining our team are supported by the section directors and a collaborative faculty.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-time eurythmy instruction across a variety of grade levels
• Offer performances of student work and support seasonal festivals and class plays
• Participate in weekly departmental meetings
• Contribute to parent meetings and curricular presentations
• Collaborate with student support services and colleagues
• Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and fellow faculty

Qualifications

• Eurythmy Training Certification (required)
• Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
• Demonstrated success teaching eurythmy to different age groups
• Commitment to Waldorf principles and philosophy

AWS is an established school community with an enrollment of approximately 400 students. Our picturesque 33-acre campus consists of four kindergartens, eight grade school classrooms, a nine-classroom high school, including a state-of-the-art science lab, a library, handwork room, performing arts center, gymnasium, eurythmy hall, art studio, school store, gardens, and playgrounds.
