This advertisement is for a Career Service located at Jackson Correctional Institution in the Classification Department.
This position is not a telework position and is required to report to the FDC office in the area it serves.
Salary: $49,371.14 Annually

JOB DUTIES: (there should only be the top five duties listed)
This position is responsible for managing inmates using a collaborative case management approach to meet the inmate’s needs through communication and available resources. Duties associated with case management include:
*The caseload may include inmates on a special status or special housing of administrative/disciplinary confinement, administrative management unit, close management, community release programs, death row, maximum management, medical/mental health unit, protective management, reception, releases, and youthful offenders.

BACKGROUND SCREENING REQUIREMENT
The Florida Department of Corrections requires all job applicants and volunteers to pass a Level 2 background check as per Chapter 435, Florida Statutes. This check must be completed before they can start working or volunteering.
The Level 2 background check includes fingerprinting for state and federal criminal records and may also include local criminal records checks.
According to Florida law (S. 110.1127(1)), this position requires a background investigation, including fingerprinting.
