Job Description The Human Resources Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing core HR operations, including payroll coordination, employee relations, benefits administration, recruitment, and employee engagement. This role ensures compliance with internal policies and promotes a positive workplace culture through training, recognition, and support services.
Key Responsibilities - Coordinate bi-weekly payroll submissions across departments and ensure accurate timekeeping.
- Manage onboarding and offboarding processes for both employees and volunteers.
- Conduct new hire orientation sessions and ensure all required documentation is completed.
- Administer benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, disability, FMLA, workers’ comp, wellness, and retirement plans.
- Maintain employee personnel records, including credentials and certifications.
- Provide HR support and performance guidance to managers, including disciplinary procedures.
- Partner with managers on recruitment strategies and participate in initial interviews.
- Maintain and update HR policies and procedural documents.
- Coordinate staff development initiatives and ensure compliance with training requirements.
- Plan employee recognition events and workplace culture initiatives.
Qualifications - 3+ years of experience in HR, including payroll and benefits administration.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to work independently.
- Knowledge of HR laws, best practices, and compliance standards.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and HR software systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate with various stakeholders and maintain confidentiality.
- HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) preferred.
