Job Description

We are seeking a National Industrial Security Program (NISP) Security Manager to support multiple clients primarily in Northern Virginia . This is a full-time, immediate-hire position offering a competitive salary, benefits, and bonus eligibility . The selected candidate will oversee security management operations, serving as a Facility Security Officer (FSO), Information Technology Personnel Security Officer (ITPSO), and Contract Program Security Officer (CPSO) , ensuring compliance with all federal security requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and implement security policies and procedures in accordance with National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and 32 CFR Part 117 .
  • Serve as the FSO / ITPSO / CPSO , ensuring compliance with all security regulations and client requirements.
  • Oversee security accounts within Defense Information Security System (DISS), National Background Investigation Services (NBIS), and National Industrial Security System (NISS) .
  • Manage DD Form 254s , process personnel security clearances, and oversee classified contract security requirements.
  • Conduct security briefings, debriefings, and training for personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) and Intelligence Community (IC) regulations .
  • Develop and implement insider threat programs, cyber awareness initiatives, and personally identifiable information (PII) protection .
  • Conduct security audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
  • Collaborate with government agencies and clients on security-related matters.
  • Ensure timely reporting and resolution of security incidents.

Must Haves:

  • Active U.S. Top Secret Clearance with SCI Access Eligibility (required).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an FSO supporting DCSA and other IC government agencies .
  • Extensive knowledge of DISS, NBIS, and NISS security systems .
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Completion of FSO Curriculum for Possessing Facilities .
  • Strong understanding of federal security laws, Presidential Directives, Executive Orders, Intelligence Community Directives (ICD), and 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM Rule) .
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) .
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Reliable transportation for travel to client facilities in and around the National Capital Region .
  • Ability to effectively detect, assess, and resolve security-related matters in a timely manner.

    • Cyber Awareness Training
    • NISS External User Training

Location:

Northern Virginia , with travel required to client facilities in and around the National Capital Region .

Salary: $90,000 - $120,000
