Description We are looking for a Payroll Administrator to join our team in Livermore, California. In this long-term contract role, you will play an essential part in managing payroll operations for a diverse employee base while ensuring compliance with labor laws and multi-state tax regulations. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced environment within the transport industry. Responsibilities: - Process payroll for a workforce of 500 employees, including hourly, salaried, exempt, and non-exempt staff. - Manage multi-state payroll operations across 37 states, ensuring accurate tax setup and compliance. - Conduct audits of benefit reports to maintain data integrity and compliance. - Serve as backup for payroll processing and support the team during peak times. - Provide front-facing support to employees, addressing payroll-related inquiries at the walk-up counter. - Utilize accounting software systems, including ADP Workforce Now and SAP SuccessFactors, to streamline payroll processes. - Collaborate on software implementation projects, such as Kronos Timekeeping systems. - Ensure adherence to labor laws and regulations in all payroll activities. - Participate in meetings to coordinate the migration of payroll information during system transitions. Requirements - Proficiency in payroll processing for organizations with 100-500 employees. - Knowledge of labor laws and regulations related to payroll. - Strong auditing skills to review benefit reports and payroll data. - Ability to provide excellent front-facing support and handle employee inquiries professionally. - Background in implementing and working with payroll-related software systems. - Detail-oriented and capable of managing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
