Radiation Oncology Registered Nurse (RN)

Requirements

Job Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor patients' physical and emotional well-being before, during, and after radiation therapy.
• Administer supportive care and medications as prescribed, including managing side effects.
• Educate patients and their families about radiation therapy procedures, potential side effects, and self-care techniques.
• Collaborate with the radiation oncologist and interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Monitor and document patients' response to treatment and report any adverse reactions.
• Ensure compliance with radiation safety protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.

Job Requirements:

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Radiation Oncology nursing.
• Current BLS certification.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.
• Knowledge of radiation therapy procedures, equipment, and safety protocols.
