Job Description

Overview:

Join our team at Mississippi Valley State University as a Receiver , playing a crucial role in the efficient operation of dining services. This position involves receiving, inspecting, and inventorying food and supply deliveries to ensure compliance with quality and quantity standards. Collaborate with team members to maintain appropriate stock levels and support our goal of delivering high-quality food services.

Responsibilities:
  • Accurately receive and document incoming deliveries.
  • Ensure received items meet quality standards and report issues.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and assist in stock rotation.
  • Properly store items following food safety guidelines.
  • Coordinate deliveries and communicate inventory needs with the team .
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a receiving or inventory management role, preferably in foodservice or related industry.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to handle and move heavy boxes and supplies.
