Job Description: *** Active Secret Clearance Required *** The MVM (Motor Vehicle Mechanic) will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining both light and heavy-duty construction vehicles and equipment. The ideal candidate will have at least five (5) years of experience in vehicle maintenance, consistent with AFSC 2T351 qualification standards (available online). - Assess the overall mechanical condition of vehicles and equipment. - Identify and correct deficiencies. - Analyze malfunctions through visual, auditory, or diagnostic equipment. - Utilize diagnostic test equipment to diagnose and repair electronic-controlled equipment. - Repair, adjust, overhaul, or replace major assemblies or sub-assemblies such as: Power and drive trains, Electrical systems, Air conditioning, Fuel, emission, and brake systems, steering assemblies, tracks, hydraulic systems, and equipment attachments. - Disassemble, repair, and reassemble gasoline or diesel engines and components. - Replace worn or damaged parts with new or reconditioned parts. - Perform grinding, fitting, balancing, and arrange for welding or machining as needed. - Adjust valve mechanisms, governors, oil systems, control linkages, clutches, traction units, and other equipment-specific systems. - Time injection pumps and accessory shaft gear trains. - Align bearing loads, gear tooth contact, and backlash to manufacturer specifications. - Reassemble, adjust, and test repaired units for proper operation. - Perform preventive and special maintenance tasks according to manufacturer maintenance schedules. - Ensure corrosion control, winterization, storage, and shipment procedures are followed. - Maintain accurate documentation of all maintenance activities. *** This position is located overseas. #Intel Job ID: 150309BR City: Washington, DC State: Washington DC Country: United States We are an equal opportunity employer.
