Position Details: The Opportunity: The AgWeatherNet Systems Analyst / Programmer is responsible for the development, implementation, operation, maintenance, documentation, and support of software applications for AgWeatherNet operations, data acquisition and information delivery via multiple platforms. This position is the primary programmer for the development and maintenance of software applications for AgWeatherNet. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, analyzing AgWeatherNet's requirements, designing application solutions, constructing and testing application components, modifying and/or enhancing existing application components, integrating new applications/application procedures, documenting and deploying application solutions, providing customer support and other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications: - Positions require a Bachelor's degree in computer science (or similar field) and three (3) years professional experience. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
- Demonstrated experience in computer systems including graphical applications development using Java, C, C++ or equivalent programming languages, and implementation, maintenance, documentation and support.
- Experience using PHP, Python, R, React.js, node.js, javascript, jquery and equivalent programming languages for web-application development.
- Strong structured systems analysis, design and programming skills for both Linux/Unix and Microsoft platforms.
- Experience administering and /or developing with MariaDB for both Windows and Linux Environments.
Preferred Qualifications: - Working knowledge of web development concepts and constructs including object-oriented programming, standard markup languages (e.g., HTML, XML), stylesheets (e.g., CSS).
- Experience designing Application Programming Interfaces (API) for data delivery.
- Experience integrating/interfacing disparate administrative information systems.
- Experience in scientific computing and numerical methods.
- Experience in project leadership and management.
- Experience using collaboration and personal productivity tools.
- Java application development skills including GUI development.
- Experience with database administration including table design, triggers, views, stored procedures and functions.
- Experience with git source control system.
Additional Information: This is a
full time (100
%FTE),
permanent position. Overtime eligibility will be determined based on final salary placement.
Monthly Salary: $5,337.47 -$8,175.1 | Commensurate with experience and qualifications
In accordance with RCW 49.58.110 , the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.
